Karen Kerr Horne remembers:

I remember those softball games in south park and walking home in the dark after the game........no thought of danger

I remember the concerts in north park and the abundance of flowers around the gazebo

I remember Bore's grocery just a few blocks walk from my house at 11th and Rhode Island st.

I remember when the first pizza shop came to town, but can't remember the name of it.

I remember cherry cokes at the corner drug store on 11th and Mass.  (was it Rankin's Drug?)

Rich Noeber's response:

You are right, things were a lot safer in those days.  I don't remember Bores, but my sister does.  I think the first pizza place may have been Earl's Pizza Palace. Your right about Rankins.
